Pakistan Gospel Assemblies was founded in 1974 by Bishop William Johnson Sr. — a visionary man of God whose heart burned with a passion to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ across Pakistan. From humble beginnings, he established multiple church buildings and planted the seeds of a ministry that has touched thousands of lives.
In 1999, he ordained his son Bishop Salem William Johnson Jr. as Head Pastor of the headquarters church. Together they planted churches, raised leaders, and expanded the reach of the Gospel. Following Bishop William Johnson Sr.'s passing in 2022, Bishop Salem William Johnson Jr. now leads PGA — carrying his father's legacy forward with faithfulness and vision.

Pakistan Gospel Assemblies (PGA) is a Christ-centered, 501(c3) registered nonprofit organization with active ministry operations throughout Pakistan. Founded in 1974, PGA has grown from a single congregation into a wide-reaching movement serving thousands across the nation through 18 active ministry areas.
PGA's ministry spans spiritual development, education, healthcare, social justice, community development, and much more — all driven by the love of Jesus Christ and a commitment to serve the people of Pakistan.
Bishop William Johnson Sr.
The visionary founder who established PGA in 1974 and spent his life building churches, training leaders, and spreading the Gospel across Pakistan. His legacy lives on through the ministry he built.
Bishop Salem William Johnson Jr.
Ordained in 1999, Bishop Salem has dedicated his life to continuing and expanding the God-given vision of PGA across all of Pakistan through 18 active ministry areas.
Mission: To preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, plant strong churches, and serve the physical, spiritual, and social needs of the people of Pakistan — bringing transformation, dignity, and hope to every community we serve.
